Fair Use & Technical Limits
All API requests are validated by file signature and restricted to raster formats (JPEG, PNG, GIF, WEBP) up to 10 MB, 40 megapixels, and 12,000 pixels maximum single-dimension per image. Vector formats (SVG) are not permitted (Source: security.php — INSTAIMGR_MAX_BYTES, INSTAIMGR_MAX_PIXELS, INSTAIMGR_MAX_DIMENSION).
Current public endpoints enforce per-IP sliding-window limits of 60 uncached transforms/min, 20 remote fetches/min, and 15 uploads/min with 30-day disk retention (Source: img.php, index.php, cron_cleanup.php). Developer API keys are not yet active for public issuance; when accounts launch, usage limits and pricing details will be finalized.
